When travelling two “i” s are better than one.
One Christmas when I was a little girl I received as a gift the book, Walt Disney’s People and Places. Included were stories about Lapland’s people of the reindeer, the blue men of Morocco, the Amazon, the sacred islands of Samoa, and the Navajos Monument Valley. I devoured it from cover to cover saying to myself, “Someday I’ll go there.” At seventeen I set off hitch hiking across Canada for three months with $300 in my pocket. I’ve now been to fifty-five countries and I’m not done yet.
